Gluten-Free Apple Crumble

An easy fall dessert that uses apples, oats, sugar, cinnamon, and gluten-free flour

Ingredients

  • 8-12 Granny Smith Apples peeled and diced about 12 cups
  • 2 ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 ½ C packed brown sugar
  • 1 C gluten-free flour
  • 1 C old-fashioned oats
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ sticks butter

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
  • Peel and dice your apples, stir together with ½ teaspoon for cinnamon, lemon juice and water. Add to the bottom of your baking dish.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients, except the butter
  • Once combined, add and cut in the butter until all mixed. The dry ingredients and butter will be crumbly when it’s ready.
  • Pour dry ingredients evenly over apples.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
